甲州印傳とは
甲州印傳（こうしゅういんでん）とは、上質な鹿革を染色して漆で柄付けを施した、甲州（山梨）で完成された日本の伝統工芸品です。鹿革がもつ柔らかな質感と漆の光沢の美しさ、なめらかな手触りの良さと丈夫さなどがその特徴です。高度な職人技術から生まれる美しさと実用性を兼ね備えた高い品質は国内外で高く評価されており、昨今では海外の高級ブランドとのコラボレーションでも注目を集め、海外でさらに人気が高まっています。

「印伝」という言葉は「印度伝来」を略したものとも伝えられています。 鹿革に模様をつける革工芸は、奈良時代の文庫箱（東大寺蔵・国宝）にもみられ、戦国時代には武将たちの鎧や兜などをきらびやかに飾りました。江戸時代になると漆で模様をつける独自の技法が創案され（甲州印伝のはじまり）、洒落者の粋な持ち物として人々に愛好されるようになりました。

甲州印傳は使い込むほどにしっとりと柔らかく、艶を増した漆と相まって、独特の風合いを生み出します。このエイジングもまた、印傳の魅力のひとつと言えるでしょう。

・水濡れ・汗などにより衣服に色移りする場合がございますので、ご注意ください。
・濡れた場合は擦らずに、乾いた布で軽くたたいて水分を取り、陰干ししてください。
・ベンジン、クリーナー、ワックス等は使用しないでください。（手の油分で自然と風合いが増します）
・直射日光の当たらない風通しの良いところに保管してください。
・鹿革の角ズレ傷や個体差による染色の差異、漆の割れ等は、天然素材、印傳らではの味わいとしてご理解くださいませ。
・ごく稀に体質等により漆カブレが生じることがあります。その場合は使用を中止して、医師にご相談ください。

KOSHU INDEN
Koshu Inden is a traditional Japanese craft made in Koshu (Yamanashi), made of high-quality deerskin dyed and patterned with lacquer. Its characteristics include the soft texture of deerskin, the beauty of the lacquer's luster, its smooth texture, and its durability. The high quality that combines beauty and practicality created by advanced craftsmanship has been highly praised both domestically and internationally, and in recent years, collaborations with overseas luxury brands have also attracted attention, making it even more popular overseas.

It is also said that the word "Inden" is an abbreviation for "Indian tradition." The leather craftsmanship of adding patterns to deerskin can also be seen on paperback boxes from the Nara period (Todaiji Temple, National Treasure), and during the Sengoku period it was used to brilliantly decorate the armor and helmets of military commanders. In the Edo period, a unique technique of adding patterns with lacquer was invented (the beginning of Koshu Inden), and people came to love it as a stylish possession. The more you use Koshu Inden, the softer it becomes, and when combined with the lacquer, which becomes glossier, it creates a unique texture. This aging can also be said to be one of Inden's charms.

・If it gets wet, do not rub it, but pat it dry with a dry cloth and dry it in the shade.
・Do not use benzene, cleaners, wax, etc. (The oil from your hands will naturally enhance the texture.)
・Please store in a well-ventilated place away from direct sunlight.
・Please note that scratches on the deerskin, differences in dyeing due to individual differences, and cracks in the lacquer are unique to Inden, a natural material.
・On rare occasions, lacquer rash may occur due to your physical constitution. In that case, stop using it and consult your doctor.
